The thickness of the face is a little much and it's kind smartwatch 2nd gen fossil heavy if you're not used to it.Display is smartwatch 2nd gen fossil and easy to see even on low brightness, and max bright will use more battery but it's clear even in sunlight.
It's got a little "flat tire" spot on the bottom like many round face smartwatches do, but its not too bad and doesn't seem to obstruct anything.Don't judge the battery life until you've used it for a while.I very nearly returned it because the first few days I used it the battery would barely last 4 hours, and it took forever to charge.
After a week of charge cycles I started to notice it getting better and after maybe another week of daily use it's totally fine.It'll live more than 24 hours now even with the always on face turned on, as long as it's not getting a ton of notifications.
But I was literally a day from returning it due to smartwatch 2nd gen fossil battery, so they should make some kind of note of how much the life will improve.I wanted to love this watch.Instead it caused me a lot of stress.
The first watch I ordered the microphone only worked for 2 hours, then stopped.The replacement I received, the mic worked for 3 days, and oddly stripped the day I dropped the 1st one off for return.Without the microphone or use of Google assistant I am unable to use the majority of apps on the watch and it defeats the purpose of getting it.
I am very disappointed over this whole thing.
This watch did what I expected for an entire day.I began to realize anytime I closed smartwatch 2nd gen fossil Wear OS app that the watch would disconnect from my phone, which was frustrating.I had to go to the Fossil website after I had already bought the watch to find out that I have to "keep the Wear OS app open and running at all times.
Yes, keeping the Wear OS app noticeably depleted my phone's battery life.The day after I got the watch, I wore it to work--at a grocery store.I mostly bagged groceries and cashiered that day, and already the screen got scratched noticeably.
The next day, same story.

I did all of the troubleshooting on the Fossil website specifically for the Q Marshal.All of the troubleshooting fixed the problem for all of two hours in two different locations with Wifi, one of those locations being at home where I have high-speed internet and perfect reception.
